Characteristics

The Pacific swallow has a black back with blue luster and has short, slightly forked tail feathers. The bird is orange-red from the forehead and throat down to the upper chest.
Habits: The Pacific swallow is most active in flats and low-altitude cities and villages. The birds are often seen resting on electric pole wires and fly low to catch small flying insects.
Resident/Common; Body length: 13 cm
Birdwatching period: all year round
